KAYAK HIRE
Skilled kayakers only may hire kayaks from our school at Marciana Marina (20 km from Portoferraio) at the following rates : Kayak
  • € 25.00 for 1/2 a day (10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 3 to 6 p.m.);
  • € 30.00 for 1 day (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.);
  • • € 35.00 for 1 day + night (10 a.m. to 10 a.m.).
  • € 150,00 for 1 week.
  • tent hire (3 person): € 5,00 per night.
 GUIDED EXCURSIONS
Excursions on the sea off Elba (min. 2 people – max. 10) can be arranged even for beginners, because an instructor/marine guide is to hand. Kayak

The rates are:

  • € 50.00 for ½ a day;
  • € 63.00 for a whole day.
The instructor will provide some guidance on how to use a sea kayak before and during the trip.
 EXCURSION WITH OVERNIGHT CAMP
2-day trip (min. 2 people) with night under canvas. overnight camp

Cost:

  • € 130.00 per person (The cost includes the tent but does not include sleeping-bag or meals)
 ROUND-ELBA KAYAK TRIP:
Cost: a cave
  • € 400.00 per person (minimum 4 people, maximum 12).
The cost includes : 6 nights in 2/3 person tents supplied by the organisers.
24 hour assistance of instructors/marine guides.
The cost does not include meal preparation.

For those interested in serious instruction in sea-kayaking, “Sea Kayak Italy” offers sea kayak course with its instructors, who are registered with FICT, FICK and Sottocosta.
Courses are of two levels: a lesson
  • Basic course : 10 hours of lessons over two days (lessons from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 to 5 p.m.) at a cost of € 170.00.
  • Advanced course: 10 hours of lessons over two days (lessons from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 to 5 p.m.) at a cost of € 170.00.
At the end of the courses, participants will receive a certificate from and membership of FICT / Sottocosta.

The school supplies all necessary equipment to the sector’s highest standards: equipment

fibreglass Kayaks with watertight compartments, Greenland (or asymmetrical) paddle, paddle float, life-jacket, skirt, watertight bag, route map and wetsuit. Facilities for a hot shower on return to base.
