Elba round trip

You will be accompanied by a Sea Kayak Italy guides and instructors, Italian and English speaking, trained following the paths of the FICK, British Canoeing and I.S.K.G.A. federations.

To carry out this experience it is necessary:

• have a minimum knowledge of sea kayaking (sit-in side) or have attended one of our introductory courses
• be prepared to carry out outdoor activities
• to be able to swim

Suitable for people in good physical shape.

The goal of this sea kayaking expedition is to live six days in contact with nature, discovering hidden places on the island of Elba. Depending on the weather and sea conditions, it will not always be possible to complete the round tour of the island.

Program

The briefing will be on Monday at 1:00 pm at the Sea Kayak Italy headquarters in Marciana Marina (Elba Island) in Viale Llewelyn Lloyd 35 (in front of the post office).

Once the kayaks have been loaded with personal luggage and supplies of food and water, the adventure will begin!

During the tour you can swim in transparent waters, you will literally experience the thrill of immersing yourself in the great biodiversity that the island preserves.

You will be able to rest in coves accessible only from the sea, improve your sea kayaking techniques under the guidance of the instructor and experience the magic of the night bivouac.

You will be able to admire the immense geological diversity of the island, the colors and the conformation of the coast will change every few hours, you will go from black beaches to red cliffs, from long white beaches to vertical sheer cliffs.

You will feel immersed in the rich history of the island. You will move between prehistory, Etruscans and medieval villages.

Napoleon spent almost 11 months on the island as emperor.
Many rocks and beaches around which you will paddle are still linked to sea legends, pirates and shipwrecks.

Paddling near the Ogliera rock we will find ourselves right above Elviscot's shipwreck.

The guides will define the daily itinerary and the stages, from time to time, based on the weather conditions and the characteristics of the group, generally providing a navigation of 5/6 hours a day (about 10/12 miles) with some stops in villages for the supply of the galley.

Sea Kayak Italy will take care of the organization of breakfast and dinner (included in the price of the common expense).

Free time for lunch (not included in the common expense). Guides can advise you on what to buy and when. Sometimes it will be possible to have lunch in the villages.

Sea kayak Italy is closely linked to the protection of the island and the marine environment.

We will not leave traces of our passage, on the contrary, when necessary, we will contribute to the cleaning of the beaches that are not easily accessible from the land.
